• Texas Half-Day Event - February 23, 2012

  On Thursday, February 23, 2012, the PDA Midwest Chapter will be holding its first Half-Day Event in Austin, Texas. The PDA is using this event as an opportunity to pursue the possibility of establishing a Texas Chapter. The topics for this event are Validations and Quality Systems with some of the following speakers/topics confirmed:

  • Business Drivers for the Pharmaceutical Industry (R. Johnson, President, PDA)
  • Update on PDA Technical Report on Process Validation (H. Baseman, COO, Valsource and Chair Elect, Board of Directors, PDA)
  • Quality Systems for Contract Manufacturing Organizations (S. Schniepp, VP, Quality Oso Bio, and Member Board of Directors, PDA)
  • Internal Auditing of Quality Systems J. Thomas (Quality and Regulatory Consultant)

• Chapter Scholarship Committee

  In an effort to offer scholarships to students of the science related disciplines, the PDA Midwest Chapter is organizing a chapter scholarship committee. Ken Paddock, chapter treasurer/committee chair, is soliciting a limited number of volunteers to actively participate in establishing a scholarship program.
