PDA Midwest Chapter considers the safety and health of all our members as a subject of utmost importance. As we continue to monitor the current COVID-19 situation and adhere to the recommendations of PDA National, health authorities, and official travel warnings, the chapter board will provide event status updates as necessary.
In light of the situation with a growing number of our participants not being able to travel, and restrictions on large gatherings, the decision was made to postpone the April dinner event, Contamination Control in Cell/Gene Therapy Facilities in Ohio now targeted for June 18th.
Regarding the 12th annual all-day Microbial Contamination and Control Conference in May, the board has decided to postpone the event to a future date to be determined.
Updates about other scheduled chapter events will be provided in the future as we explore all possibilities, including but not limited to, webinars and other social distancing practices. We recognize the challenge this may cause, and we apologize for the inconvenience. Like you, we are trying to respond to the changing situation.
PDA Midwest Board
PDA is a non-profit international association of more than 10,500 scientists involved in the development, manufacture, quality control and regulation of pharmaceuticals/biopharmaceuticals and related products. The association also provides educational opportunities for government and university sectors that have a vocational interest in pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical sciences and technology.
The Midwest Chapter serves pharmaceutical professionals and education organizations from the Midwestern United States. Our events draw individuals from states such as Illinois and Indiana, with a focus in the Chicago area. Our dinner meetings with guest speakers on varied topics are informative and entertaining. We work with businesses to allow them to promote their products in an effort to match the best products and services for our membership.
